2010: J4K 5th year Anniversary!!!

  
  Did you say five years? Yes friends, 2010 marks the fifth year anniversary of our legendary film Just For Kicks. Produced in 2004 and 2005 by CAID Productions, Just for Kicks was first released at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2005. Followed a first on air screening on Canal Plus in Europe in December 05, and a first US broadcast in February 2006 on SpikeTV (that was when SpikeTV had an interest and cultural pretentions that went beyond Star Wars and pizza).

Following the 2005 screenings and broadcast were releases in Australia, New Zealand, several European countries, the entire South America and Brazil…all the way to a theatrical release in Japan by mid-2006. Five years later, we estimate that close to 100 million people worldwide have enjoyed our film and learned about the influence of hip-hop on sneaker culture.

2009: J4K on ARTE TV, in France & Germany

A pop culture documentary about sneakers and hip-hop on France/German distinguished top cultural channel? For real? Yes sir! Grand Master Caz & JDL, along with Fab5 Fredy and Bonz Malone, our official street cat, made it to the forefront of European culture and television! So is Arte going underground or is sneaker culture popping up to the point it is now mainstream?
